Week-long training intensive: Places limited!
We are excited to announce an upcoming week-long professional development opportunity, which offers freelance professional dancers the chance to further their own practice by learning from internationally-renowned tutors Jeremy Nelson and Jarek Cemerek.
Jeremy Nelson is an internationally recognised teacher who has given classes and workshops in over 30 countries at studios and festivals including ImPulsTanz in Vienna, P.A.R.T.S. School in Brussels, Escuela Nacional de Danza Clásica y Contemporánea in Mexico, Instituto de Bellas Artes in Cuba, International Summer School of Dance in Tokyo, DansensHus in Copenhagen, and the Kalamata Dance Festival in Greece among many others. He was Head of the Dance Education at the Danish National School of Performing Arts from 2009 to 2015, and is now Associate Arts Professor in the Dance Department at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
A dancer, choreographer and pedagogue working around Europe and the USA, Jarek Cemerek graduated from Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and later majored in dance pedagogy at Music Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He has worked with Tanztheaterwien (Vienna), Thor (Brussels), Willy Dorner (Vienna), Dance Theatre of Ireland, Stadttheater Bern (Switzerland) and Royal Opera House (London), along with choreographers Hofesh Schechter, Alexander Ekman, Cathy Marston and Jo Strømgren. Cemerek has taught at DV8, Carte Blanche, Göteborg Opera Sweden, Juilliard School in New York, Korea National University of Arts and many others. He is a contemporary tutor at the New Zealand School of Dance.
