Fundraising Manager – 9 month fixed term contract – Wellington based

As a registered charitable trust, Footnote New Zealand Dance is Aotearoa’s longest-running contemporary dance company and has been at the forefront of contemporary dance in New Zealand for 35 years. Footnote is a national arts organisation that extensively tours dance works around Aotearoa and internationally. Footnote are now seeking a Fundraising Manager to join their tight knit team.
Role:
After recently securing a brand new home for the organisation in the capital, Footnote will be embarking on a fundraising campaign for equipment needed for Footnote and others in the community to use this building to its fullest potential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, but passionate and supportive, arts management team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing the fundraising activity for the organisation, helping to increase the resilience of the organisation and working proactively to develop a capital fundraising campaign for Footnote’s new home.
A few key responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining a funding calendar for the organisation. Identifying funding opportunities. Leading design and implementation of any capital fundraising campaign. Managing all fundraising activity for the organisation.
Candidate:
Key skills and attributes needed for this role will be strong end-to-end fundraising experience, excellent highly-personable relationship management, and expertise in preparing budgets and successful funding applications. A passion for New Zealand arts and dance is essential. It will also be important that you have an established network within Wellington to help you achieve the best outcomes for Footnote.
