Associate Board Member position
The Footnote Dance Trust Board, which governs Footnote New Zealand Dance, is seeking candidates for an Associate Board member position. As a Charitable Trust, this position is on a voluntary basis.
A new position for Footnote, the purpose of the Associate Board member position is for Footnote to contribute to building succession capability in Aotearoa arts governance. This role will allow the associate to gain valuable insights and practical experience in the functions of an arts board and for the board to support them on their leadership journey. The associate will be involved with every aspect of the Footnote Dance Trust Board, consistent with its constitution and policies. The associate will become a non-voting member of the board of trustees.
About Footnote New Zealand Dance:
Founded in 1985, Footnote is the longest-running contemporary dance company in Aotearoa New Zealand and a national arts organisation based in Wellington. Footnote extensively tours performances nationally and internationally, delivers innovative educational programmes, and engages in industry collaborations and sector development projects that reach many thousands of people across Aotearoa every year. Footnote provides a safe space for practitioners to take artistic risks and is proud of its commitment to advance contemporary dance in New Zealand and inspire diverse audiences through this work.
