Anita Hunziker trained at the New Zealand School of Dance specialising in contemporary dance and graduated in 2004. She danced with Footnote from 2005 – 2010, where she toured nationally and internationally working with New Zealand’s leading choreographers and dancers. In 2010 Anita won Best Established Female Performer at the Tempo Dance Awards and received the title of Pocket Rocket in The Listener Art Awards.
Upon leaving Footnote, Anita freelanced extensively throughout New Zealand working as a dancer, aerialist, choreographer, teacher and producer. From 2012-2013 Anita joined Dance North in Australia where she worked as a performer and dance educator touring Australia. Anita was Assistant Choreographer for the 2015 World of WearableArt Awards show, and also performed as part of the core cast.
Anita regularly teaches contemporary technique at the New Zealand School of Dance. She joined the Footnote team in a new role as Artistic Liaison from January 2015.
